Painting the Nursery!

Both Court & I love the color green! So we thought it would be fun to paint the nursery green, the color is called Lily Pad (Martha Stewart color). We LOVE the way it turned out!!! So fresh and clean...

We thankfully have so many great things to put in the room thanks to hand me downs! The changing table (a gift from Pam, one of her good friends' old changing table), dresser (colby's old dresser), foot stool (was Court's grandmother, Rachel's aka Mama), the crib (thanks to amy rogers), and the crib bedding (thanks to stuart fisher!). All the other things, we did have.. Oh, and as mentioned in another post from late April, we did get a glider which is on order! (thanks for the help from mom & dad for chipping in!). The glider should hopefully arrive soon! We just need to do a few last minute things (like finish painting some of the trim, hang wooden blinds, hang pictures and get a changing pad). It has been so fun to go in the nursery, makes it all seem more real that he is coming soon!

Thank you AGAIN Mom & Dad for all the time you spent all weekend painting! We both are grateful for your help!

Obviously, as I decorate the room over the next month, I will post updated pictures.

First coat of paint it up!

The stool we recovered (blue seersucker), we are going to do a matching pillow for the chair

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a fun weekend! My parents came down to help Courtney paint the nursery, and he was THANKFUL for the help!!! The project for the weekend was to paint, and to half way set up the nursery as we had not had a chance to do anything until this weekend!

They were able to take a few breaks, so we managed to fit some fun in! We headed over to the Feole's for a cookout on Sunday, which was fun for everyone. It was so good to see everyone, for them to get to see Emma. It has been MONTHS since we had been over, so the visit was long over due. Emma did put on her show for everyone, and all had fun. Enjoy the pictures...

I am going to post the pictures of the nursery in another post.

Daddy is fun

Why is it that Daddy's always are the fun ones??!! Thankfully Emma thinks I am pretty fun too (for now anyways), but with Court she gets to see things at a whole new level (literally)...she is TALL in her Daddy's arms! Especially when she gets a shoulder ride!

so cute

For some reason her lip is out, but she is having fun believe me...

Hi Mom, look at me!

Visit with Nana and her friends

Pam (Nana) stopped by for a visit while in town shopping with some of her girlfriends. Emma naturally had to show off all her tricks and dance moves, and still managed to give some lovin' to her Nana...
