Anniversary!

Court and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year!  We both know how lucky we are, for each other and our children and what we have accomplished together.  Courtney surprised me with a date night out, a hotel and night out with dinner and drinks with friends!  We had a great time, I only wish I had taken pictures!  Here is one at least, we rode a rickshaw from our hotel to meet our friends!

I look forward to many more annivsersary's together!!!

We love to swing!

I am sure all kids love to swing, but I feel that my two really love to SWING!  Almost every day we have to swing!   Can't really blame them, and I love seeing the JOY and HAPPINESS radiate from them each and every push.  Emma usually says one of two things when we swing:
- "So fun!"  OR
- "Emma is so happy..."

She makes me feel so happy when I hear her.

Here is a fun video:

Visit with Cuckoo and Gampa

This month we are lucky enough to be able to visit TWO sets of great-grandparents!!  This time we went to visit Cuckoo and Gampa.  They are now officially all settled in their new home, and are really enjoying the facilities of Fearrington (especially the social part of it!).  Cathy and Clare also came over for a visit too.  Emma, like at BB's, was showing everyone all around and LOVES Cuckoo's clocks.

Visit with BB

Off to Nashville we go!  We had a fun visit with BB, Uncle Ed, and Uncle Lawerence!  (and Pam was able to come by too!)   Both of the kids did some showing off for their BB, and put on quite the show.  Emma pulled everyone around the house looking for all the clocks and flowers, while Stokes thought that BB's dogs were the most hilarious things he had ever seen!  Hope you enjoy the pictures and the video:

New York, New York

The one good thing about my job is we get to travel to nice places, and stay in nice hotels.  This trip, we stayed at the Waldorf Hotel (where we hosted our event).  It was just as lovely as I imagined!!  We also managed to eat some fabulous meals on the trip too, including the Bull and Bear (steak restaurant in the Waldorf).  The chef came to personally serve us, it was a fun (and expensive night! - thanks Lenovo!!)  I even got an autographed plate, which I loved, because it was a "BB" monogrammed plate.  Which we now use at home as our meat plate!

Easter 2012

What a beautiful day yesterday turned out to be!  We have a lot to be thankful for this year!!  We have the best, healthy and happy children, as well as great family, and friends.  We invited my parents and Pam to come to town to celebrate with us for Easter.  We went to service at our church, and came home to have brunch.  Pam made a cute bunny cake, which we used as a center piece and my Mom helped with the food for the meal.  I have truely learned, it does take a village to raise a family!  I always try my hardest to do it all, but do realize I do need help!  This is where I am very thankful for family.

Hope you enjoy these pictures of the kids.  And YES, the Easter Bunny did come by and left the kids lots of fun treats!!!  (including a swing for Stokes, so he can now keep up with Emma out on the swing!)   It was a happy day....

Saying our prayers, she does this everytime before a meal PRICELESS!!!

Emma hungry for that cake!

I love this boy!!!

Our flower smelling girl!  She loves smelling flowers....

Nana and kids

Susu, Bop and the kids

I am sure grateful for our family!

We have been preparing for Easter Sunday, getting the house all ready to have my parents and Pam over for brunch.  Today though, we mangaed to fit in some time to take the kids to visit the Easter Bunny up at North Hills.  Neither of the kids cried when they saw the bunny!!  And Emma loaded up on candy and bracelets!  ;-)  We ran into our friends/neighbors up there as well, as you can see pictures of Stokes and Lillian.

We had my grandparents over for an early dinner to celebrate too.  It was a fun day!

She shoots and she scores!

Emma has been getting some basketball tips from her Daddy! Playing ball is one of Emma's favorite activities with her Daddy. We managed to catch her first 'basket' on camera....she had the best time!

SOOOO excited!
