Memorial Day Weekend - Saturday Night - My side of the family

We headed to Fearrington & Chapel Hill on Saturday for the afternoon/evening. We spent the afternoon at Cuckoo & Gampa's and then went over to Auntie Cathy & Uncle John's house for the cookout. Emma was super! All were amazed with how good she was, she was able to put herself to sleep for naps that afternoon.... Emma got to meet her great Auntie Lori, Uncle Tony & Uncle Glenn.
Above are the first round of pictures.... more to come.

Love my new bath tub, and reading... Week 11
We had been bathing Emma in the tub from the hospital, but it was time to move on to the big girl bathtub! I wish we would have gotten it a while ago, as it has this hammock and she just loves laying back and is totally relaxed! We give her a bath right before we feed her before bed time. She always is relaxed and full of smiles after her bath!
Also included is another book time. Emma really sits still and pays attention. Every night we read a book and read from our prayer book before bed time.

Sip & See in Richmond - May 15
Cuckoo & Emma
We headed up to Richmond for the weekend to go to Colby & Robyn's Engagement Party, which her parents threw for them! It was a very nice night... Colby & Robyn are very lucky! They found out at the party, they are receiving their honeymoon as their wedding gift!
On Saturday, this weekend, my Mom threw a Sip & See shower for some of her friends to meet Emma. Most had already met Emma at her surprise birthday party, but some came over to see the cutie pie... Emma slept like an angel onthe trip. From 9:30 to 4:30 am!!

Mothers' Day
Mothers' day this year was just okay. Maggie, our dog, ended up getting sick...and scared us all! We thought she had a stroke, and was unable to move for 3 days....turns out she has Canine Vestibular Disease...which is common in dogs with ear infections, and is similiar to a stroke...but dogs do recover. THANKFULLY Maggie about a week later was getting around by herself. But we did have a nice day at least at home with one another on Mothers' day. My parents were thankfully here as Court had to work on Mothers day morning, as we had the Mom's over for a Mothers' Day dinner on Saturday night. We did have a nice dinner with our Mom's.... Hopefully next year will be a much better Mothers' day! A day filled with lots of happiness.... I was so grateful although for being a Mom this year.... I have absolutely loved being Emma's Mommy. She brings so much love in my life, and I am amazed every single day with how much I love her. God sure has blessed me with my angel. Courtney did give me a neat gift, a picture frame with lots of different pictures of Emma in her first 9 weeks of life...... I am lucky to have a fantastic husband and daughter!! and can't forget, a dog too! ;-)

Emma loves her babies & to read
Here are some cute pictures of Emma with my old Madame Alexander dolls in the crib. She is growing so much when you set her up to the baby dolls, compared to how she was a few weeks ago. Also, she loves to be read too and really sits still and listens!
