Stokes' Baptism

What a beautiful day for a baptism! Stokes was absolutely wonderful, no tears what so ever and the day was so nice to share with our family. Stokes wore the same gown as Emma wore, and in which myself, Colby, my mom & her siblings. It was special to be able to carry on the tradition. Here are a few pictures from the big day. Hope you enjoy.

Baptism Weekend - Saturday

Colby & Robyn came to town from Atlanta late Friday night. Poor Robyn is working 60-80 hour weeks lately on a project, and thankfully it ended in time for them to come up to Raleigh for the baptism. We asked Colby & Robyn to be Godparents for Stokes. We thought it would be special to have the kids have the same Godparents, as Courtney & Chase had the same ones as well.

On Saturday we had to go to a dress rehearsal at the Church, and had a big breakfast at Big Ed's. Yum yum...... Big Ed's is the place we had our rehearsal dinner, to refresh your memory. It is the best breakfast place in town. Then we headed back to the house to hang out for the rest of the day. It was nice. As you can see it was a nice day, and ended with a great dinner....wish Robyn & Colby lived closer.

I also should mention, Stokes is being Baptised at Christ church, the same church Courtney & I were married and Emma was baptised.

Toccoa comes to town

Yeah...Toccoa & her daughter, Harriet, came to town for a last minute trip and were able to come over for the afternoon to play & meet Stokes. Toccoa is one of my great friends (also, one of my bridesmaids) & old roommate. We lived together in the "Daniels Street House"...oh, that was a fun time in my life! A house of 3 or 4 (depending on who was living there at the time) single girls right in the heart of Cameron Village aka walking distance of the best bar in town. :) Then both Toccoa & I bought condos down the street right down the road from one another in Cameron Village, so we were partners in crime together for a long time until we both moved out of our condos right before we got married.

Anyways, we are all grown up now, and still keep up. Toccoa and her family now live in Clinton, South Carolina, so we don't see each other often, so it is extra special when we do. Her daughter, Harriet, is 3 years old, and just darling.

Sleeping beauty

I can't help myself, I am that mom that 'has' to check on their child while they sleep. It is such a wonderful feeling to look my sweet little one sleeping. Emma would sleep in this position all the time when she was a baby, so I had to capture the momement...

Busted...

Busted .... I found Emma sitting in Stokes' bassinet. It was pretty funny, I guess she wanted to give it a whirl after seeing her little brother in there, it is hard to believe not too long ago Emma was in the same bassinet (attaches to our stroller).

Also, is a picture of our friend, Caroline & Walt Warren's, little boy...Reid Warren. Reid is exactly 2 weeks older than Stokes, and they actually both were the same weight & height when born. They live in our neighborhood, on our old street actually.

The Sutch's are back for another visit!

We were lucky to be able to have TWO visits with the Sutch family! (before they headed back to Houston) I sure wish they lived closer, we always have the best time with them, and it was fun to have the kids play together too...

The 'napping daddies' - it is hard staying up & waking up early in the morning!

Labor day weekend...

It was a fun weekend in all... We stayed in town, and my parents came to town on Saturday evening after Bess & Hunter (and their children) left. Mom helped me get ready for the Baptism in the days to come, and we got to fit in a little play time too.

Courtney made big breakfasts both mornings! That is sort of becoming the new routine of our weekends, while I feed Stokes he & Emma make breakfast. Usually it involves Court's favorite, Bass Farm Sausage!! ;-)

We figured it was the last weekend for the baby pool, so we made it extra fun for Emma and added in a slide! She was a little uncertain about it at first, but after a few times really loved sliding down in the water and the SPLASHING!

Leaving you on a a sweet note, Stokes!
