Toccoa's Visit
One of my closest girlfriends, Toccoa, came to town today! She came by for a visit & got to meet Emma for the first time. She, her husband, and daughter, Harriet, live in Clinton, SC. It was so great to see her, an overdue visit.

6 months old!!
I really can not believe that Emma is now 6 months old!! As wonderful as it is, I am sort of sad with how fast all the time is going by. Really every day I cherish with her, as they are flying by. I have been trying hard to take lots of pictures, and videos of Emma to show her one day. As you can see in the pictures, she is such a happy baby. And she still loves that rattle, loves carrying it around with her - perfect size & perfect to pop in her mouth! We are having the best time with her!!
Emma went to the doctor yesterday, and had a great check up & is progressing as she should. She is now 16.5 pounds, and 26 inches long! 50% percentile for both. She does seem really tall around other kids, we are thinking she will be tall (hmm, I wonder where she will get her height from?! Not her Mom!!) Her head is still small, but is growing as it should (10%).
We had a big week this week with new things with Emma. We had to lower her mattress, as she now can pull her self up on the bumper! And moved to size THREE diapers! ;)
Oh, and some FANTASTIC news....... Courtney has a new JOB!!! He is going to be an Inside Sales Rep for Lenovo (same company I work for, what are the odds in that?!). He is so excited (and so am I!!!!), to have a routine schedule and not have to work weekends anymore and holidays! He starts his new job next Monday, September 20th. I am so proud of him...all his patience with trying to get into a new job, has paid off!

6 months!!

So funny

Emma & her teddy bear (she is catching up to you Miss Bear!)

Hmm...I really like looking at this bear!

Who is the happiest girl!?!

Emma still loves this bouncy seat, she is about to outgrow it as you can see...

Band-Aids from her shots (poor thing got 3 today)

Fun with the Freeman Family on Labor Day
Our good friends, Anna, Taylor & Izzy, came over for a Labor day cookout on Monday. We had a great time hanging out with them, and catching up. This summer has really just blown by, so it was fun to just hang out.

Last day of the Summer at Lakemont Pool!
Emma & I had to head up to our neighborhood pool, as it was open for the last day of the summer. We are going to miss the pool. We are so glad we joined, Emma LOVES the pool and has really like being in the water and I think the social aspect of it too with all the other kids/family's. I am already looking forward to next summer, and we will see then how much she really gets to enjoy it!

Heading up to the pool

The pool has such pretty flowers

Lazy Sunday Morning with Mommy
Emma and I had a great Sunday morning...we slept in, read books, played and Emma napped (and I got to read the paper)! It was a BEAUTIFUL morning, a little chill in the air (so Emma got to wear one of her many sweaters for the first time).
I took advantage of some snuggle time with Emma as she fell right asleep after books on the porch! I feel so lucky to have been able to do some of my favorite things that day, spending time with Emma, and rocking out on the porch with a good cup of coffee! :) Life is GOOD!

Oh the fun we had!
Emma & I headed to Fearrington for the afternoon today to visit with Cuckoo & Gampa. We had actually not been to visit, since June?! Way too long! I have no idea where this summer has gone. Thank goodness Cuckoo & Gampa have come to visit us. Auntie Cathy, and cousins Clare & Sara came over to see Emma. It was a fun-filled afternoon, and Emma was worn out when we got home and is SOUND ASLEEP!
Hope you enjoy ALL the pictures!
