After our wonderful visit at Rex Hospital, we were happy to come back home to our house... It was another HOT day, 102. But the hot did not stop it from being a great day!! It was so nice to bring Stokes home.... It was also fun to see Emma in her own environment and how she acted towards Stokes. She was just as loving as in the hospital, just can not get enough kisses! We are feeling beyond lucky & blessed!!!!
We did get Emma some gifts from Stokes, so she had fun opening those... He gave her baby doll bottles (for her baby dolls), a baby pool, & a magna-doodle. My Dad had to head back to Richmond later in the afternoon, but my Mom was staying for a few days helping - think she loves being the 'night nurse'...which allows us to sleep, just up for feedings! Not to mention, we came home to the house smelling delicious....lasagnas, spaghetti, meatballs, and sausages...and lots frozen too!
It's a boy!! Pam/Nana made this bow for us.....
We're home!

Introducing David Stokes Bass
We woke up on this Friday morning awaiting our 'call' to come into the hospital for our induction, well time went on and on... Turns out July 29th was a popular day to have a baby. We were supposed to go in at 8:00 am, and ended up heading in a little after 2:00 pm. So we ended up spending most of the day relaxing, and eating...preparing for the big night ahead of us.
We had such a great experience at Rex (our hospital, where we also delivered Emma). David 'Stokes' was born at 9:25, after only 20 minutes of pushing and 6 hours (at the most) in labor...it was such an easy delivery compared to Emma's. Thankfully, the epidural worked this time!!!!!! We were so over joyed to meet Stokes, and hold our healthy boy....what a relief!
Hope you enjoy the pictures from the 'day of'...
